MailExchange vs BriteVerify

BriteVerify, part of Validity, is one of the oldest names in email verification and is built for enterprise buyers. If you'd rather see the price and start today, MailExchange publishes every number.

Updated 2026-10-17

TL;DR

  • Pricing: BriteVerify has no public pricing. A sales call is required. MailExchange lists every price, from $29 for 5,000 emails.
  • Getting started: MailExchange is self-serve: sign up, get 250 free credits, upload a CSV. No demo, no contract.
  • Pick BriteVerify if you're an enterprise already buying from Validity and want one vendor and a procurement process. Pick MailExchange if you want to know the price before you talk to anyone.

Pricing: sales call vs a price list

Validity's BriteVerify and pricing pages offer "Contact Sales" and "Get a Demo" instead of a price list. That's normal for enterprise software, but it means you can't compare the cost, or buy a small pack to test it, without a sales conversation first. We don't quote BriteVerify prices here, because Validity doesn't publish them.

A tip if you do take the call: ask for the price at your actual monthly volume, whether unused credits expire, and whether unknown results are charged. Those three answers decide what you really pay per verified email.

Where BriteVerify is the better fit

Validity says it is trusted by thousands of the world's biggest brands, and BriteVerify is the oldest well-known name in verification. If you're a large company that already works with Validity, wants a negotiated contract, and needs vendor reviews and procurement paperwork, BriteVerify is built for that.

Where MailExchange is the better fit

If you're a cold emailer, an agency or a marketing team that needs a list cleaned this afternoon, a sales cycle is a cost of its own. MailExchange runs six checks on every address (syntax, DNS and MX, risk lists, an SMTP mailbox check, a catch-all test and a verdict) without sending an email. Results come back as deliverable, risky, undeliverable or unknown, with catch-all, role and disposable addresses labelled separately so you can decide what to send to.

You see the price before you upload, you pay only for addresses we could classify, and unused credits never expire. Try a single address with the free email checker, or upload a sample of your list with the 250 free credits.

Common questions

Why doesn't this page show BriteVerify's prices? Because Validity doesn't publish them. Estimates on third-party sites vary and can be out of date, and we only quote prices a vendor publishes itself.

How fast can I start with MailExchange? Sign up, upload a CSV or TXT file or paste a list, and the free 250 credits are applied first. No contract, no minimum term.

Does MailExchange send an email to check an address? No. We talk to the receiving mail server and stop before any message is sent, so the people on your list never hear from us.

What if I verify every month? The monthly plan takes 15% off every tier, and you can still keep any credits you don't use. They never expire.
