Pay-as-you-go prices
One-time credit packs, from each vendor's own pricing page. Per-email cost is price divided by credits.

Subscriptions
ZeroBounce sells ZeroBounce ONE from $99 a month for 10,000 credits (20% off on annual billing), bundled with extras such as inbox tests and blacklist monitoring. NeverBounce's Growth plans start at $49 a month for 10,000 verifications according to its pricing page, and the page's price data lists larger tiers down to about $0.001 per email at 1M. At 100,000 a month the NeverBounce Growth figure in that data ($159) is well under the ZeroBounce pay-as-you-go price ($649), so volume buyers should price the subscription, not only the packs.
Terms that change the real cost
- Credit expiry. ZeroBounce lists "never expire" but says that without an active ONE subscription expiration rules "may apply" and points to its terms. NeverBounce's pay-as-you-go credits expire 12 months after purchase. Read both sets of terms before buying a big pack.
- Unknown results. ZeroBounce does not charge for unknowns or for removing duplicates. For NeverBounce we found no official statement on unknowns, and competitor pages say they are charged, so treat it as unverified and ask support.
- Free tier. ZeroBounce gives 100 validations a month. NeverBounce advertises free test credits and a free list analysis but doesn't state the amount on the page we could read.
Features and positioning
ZeroBounce positions itself as a wider deliverability suite: an email finder (20 credits per successful find), AI scoring (one extra credit per address), inbox and server tests, and a vendor-stated validation accuracy of 99.6% that it describes as guaranteed. NeverBounce focuses on verification, advertises 80+ integrations, and has been owned by ZoomInfo since 2018. If you only need verification, the ZeroBounce extras are extras you pay for through higher prices.
About accuracy
Each vendor states a high accuracy figure, and sources disagree on the exact numbers. None of them is an independent measurement. The reliable method is a blind test: put the same 500 addresses through both and compare how many are deliverable, risky and unknown, then send to a small slice and count real bounces.
Where Mail Exchange fits
If you want the same result categories without the price premium, Mail Exchange is $29 for 5,000 emails and $299 for 100,000, credits never expire, and unknowns and duplicates are refunded. NeverBounce's monthly Growth plans can cost less than ours at about 50,000 a month and up; we compare pay-as-you-go only. See Mail Exchange vs ZeroBounce and vs NeverBounce.
