Switch from Emailable to Mail Exchange

Emailable and Mail Exchange sort addresses into the same four states, so this is the easiest switch to make. Here is the mapping and a way to test it.

Updated 2026-10-18

TL;DR

  • Same four states and similar reason names. Your filters and rules carry over.
  • Price: 24% cheaper at 5K ($29 vs $38), 29% at 100K ($299 vs $420). Terms match: unknowns and duplicates refunded, credits never expire.
  • Stay with Emailable if you depend on its native integrations with HubSpot, Mailchimp, Klaviyo or Salesforce. We have CSV and API only for now.

Why people switch

The main reason is price, because the service is so similar. Emailable's pricing page (checked 2026-10-17) shows $38 for 5,000, $60 for 10,000, $420 for 100,000 and $2,100 for 1,000,000. Ours are $29, $49, $299 and $1,699. Full table: Mail Exchange vs Emailable.

If you verify cold-email lists rather than marketing lists, our Instantly and Smartlead workflow pages also cover things Emailable's integrations page (HubSpot, Mailchimp, Klaviyo, Salesforce, Zapier) does not.

What carries over

Everything you do with the results. Export from your tool, upload to Mail Exchange, import the rows you want. No account data moves and we have no migration tool. If you use Emailable's API, you would point calls at our API (keys on request). The state and reason fields use similar names, but check the response shape in our docs, because fields differ.

Emailable states and ours

Emailable state / reasonMail ExchangeNotes
deliverable (accepted_email)deliverableEmailable: highly confident the address exists.
risky (low_quality)risky (low_quality, disposable)We split role and disposable addresses into their own labels.
risky (low_deliverability)risky (low_deliverability)Our catch-all label, also flagged accept_all: true.
undeliverable (invalid_email, invalid_domain, rejected_email)undeliverableSame reason names. Emailable also has invalid_smtp, which we do not list.
unknown (no_connect, timeout, unavailable_smtp, unexpected_error)unknownBoth refund the credit. Our reasons include unavailable_smtp, no_connect and dns_error.

Use your existing credits first

Emailable's credits do not expire (checked 2026-10-17), so there is no hurry and no loss. Use what you have, then start buying ours when the balance runs out. We do not match leftover credits.

Test before you switch: the 500-address sample

  1. Take a random 500 addresses from a list Emailable has already verified.
  2. Verify the same file in Mail Exchange.
  3. Compare by address. Because the states match, a direct disagreement count is easy: how many deliverable here are undeliverable there, and the reverse.
  4. Check the risky group separately. Do the same addresses land in low_deliverability on both sides?
  5. If you have send data, see which labels matched real bounces.

This is a sanity check, not an accuracy benchmark. 500 rows is a small sample.
