What changes the real cost

  • Unknown results. If a vendor charges for unknowns, your cost per usable result is higher. Emailable, Kickbox and ZeroBounce don't charge for unknowns; Mail Exchange refunds them.
  • Duplicates. Lists often contain 2-10% duplicates; make sure you aren't billed for them.
  • Expiry. A cheap pack is expensive if half of it lapses. NeverBounce pay-as-you-go credits expire after 12 months.
  • Subscriptions. Monthly plans can be much cheaper per email at steady volume. See pricing models explained.

Quick estimates

  • A 20,000-address prospect list: $99 at Mail Exchange (25,000 pack), or about $258 at ZeroBounce's 10K rate ($0.0129 each).
  • An agency verifying 100,000 a month: $300 (Mail Exchange pack) to $650 (ZeroBounce pack).
  • A newsletter of 50,000: about $179 at Mail Exchange.
